Could Borderlands 2 be Landing on Wii U?

<p>Gearbox Software admits that seeing their upcoming game<em> Borderlands 2<&sol;em> on the Wii U &&num;8220&semi;would just be fantastic&&num;8221&semi;&period; The publisher 2k Games has yet to exhibit an interest in the matter though&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Gearbox Software&&num;8217&semi;s Chief Creative Officer Brian Martel shares the developers opinion on the Wii U as a platform&semi; &&num;8220&semi;We really like the Wii U&comma; I think it&&num;8217&semi;s a really cool platform&period;&&num;8221&semi; says Brian&period; &&num;8220&semi;I like what they&&num;8217&semi;re doing and it will be interesting to see what Microsoft does with their approach to that idea&period; It&&num;8217&semi;s one of those problems of the Wii&colon; the only people who have ever made a lot of money on the Wii is Nintendo&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Martel also touched on<em> Aliens&colon; Colonial Marines<&sol;em>&comma; which is also being developed by Gearbox Software&comma; and set for a release on the Wii U&period; &&num;8220&semi;So we&&num;8217&semi;re really excited to bring <em>Aliens&colon; Colonial Marines<&sol;em> to it&period; And we&&num;8217&semi;re going to do a wait and see approach&comma; our publisher 2k Games is going to see whether they&&num;8217&semi;re going to go with that&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Martel then addressed his feelings on whether<em> Borderlands 2<&sol;em> is suitable for the Wii U&comma; stating&colon; &&num;8220&semi;If Borderlands 2 was on the Wii U&comma; the thing I would be most excited about is inventory management&colon; it would be amazing on that&comma; it would just be fantastic&period; And I think the artwork would look really good&comma; with the way they can deal with the resolutions and textures&comma; I think it&&num;8217&semi;s a really good console&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>Borderlands 2<&sol;em> is set for release September 18&comma; 2012 in America&comma; and September 21&comma; 2012 in the UK&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&lpar;Via <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;nintendo-universe&period;co&period;uk&sol;2012&sol;07&sol;17&sol;gearbox-borderlands-2-on-wii-u-would-just-be-fantastic&sol;" target&equals;"&lowbar;blank">Nintendo Universe<&sol;a>&rpar;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
