“OnLive will utterly transform gaming in the UK.” Steve Perlman the Founder and CEO of OnLive.

OnLive, the quickly growing cloud gaming platform that delivers the latest hits through a synchronized broadband connection has announced it will launch it’s service in the U.K. on September 22nd during the 2011 Eurogamer Expo London. Similarly to the U.S. version it will feature over 100 hundred of the top games currently on the market, all of which will be available to play instantly anywhere a broadband connection exists in the U.K. on a PC, Mac, iPad, Android tablet, HDTV, and more.

Games included in the U.K Launch: Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, Assassin’s Creed II, F.E.A.R. 2, F.E.A.R. 3 Single-Player and Multiplayer, Borderlands, and much much more!

The OnLive service is unlike any gaming platform seen before. It features over a 100 of the top games from Take-Two, Ubisoft, Epic Games, THQ, Warner Bros., Eidos Interactive, and more who have teamed up with OnLive to bring the same great games from Xbox 360 and PS3 to cloud gaming. OnLive plays games breathlessly in HD 720p all while hogging no system resources. It’s able to do this because it is a cloud gaming platform, that basically means instead of logging on to a service like Steam to purchase and download a game a player can simply purchase or rent a game on OnLive and play it instantly without any hassles through their broadband connection. OnLive stores the game content on a massive server network and allows you to access and play the game through live-streaming over a broadband connection and that is why they call it the cloud.
