Broforce, the retro-side scrolling shooter from Free Lives, has received a special Fourth of July update. Two new characters have been added, sound design and voiceovers have received some polish, and gameplay has been improved based on user feedback.
The two new characters are Cherry Broling and Colonel James Broddock. Broling’s leg is equipped with an assault rifle which she uses to pick off enemies from the sky. Broddock is a grenade specialist who fights with a fervor for democracy. Joonas Turner,who might be familiar to some from The Swapper and Nuclear Throne, is now the new Broforce announcer. Lastly, the full list of gameplay updates is available on the game’s Steam forum.
Broforce is 33% off on Steam today through Independence Day weekend.
