Burnout Paradise, originally releasing in early 2008, was a success from a critical standpoint. The game, developed by EA and Criterion Games, brought the series’ staple of fast-paced gameplay, spectacular crashes, and explosive racing to 7th Gen consoles, with extended DLC support.

The series went dormant after the game’s last update in 2009, however. Then came 2018, where EA and Criterion Games revealed Burnout Paradise Remastered to release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC via Steam. The Remastered version came with the game and all of its released DLC. The only exclusion to this is the Time Savers Pack (a DLC that auto-unlocked all base game vehicles without the need for story progression).

Burnout Paradise Remastered also did as well as its 2008 original, though with a slightly lower overall score.

Burnout Paradise Remastered’s Features

EA and Criterion Games invites players to Paradise City, where they’re tasked with taking over the city streets. Players can race solo and level up their license, or go online and race their friends and the world. Players can also team up to complete hundreds of online challenges.

The Remastered version of Burnout Paradise delivers the complete original game and its eight DLC packs. These DLCs include the Big Surf Island, Burnout Bikes and the Cops and Robbers packs. With new locations, challenges and over 130 vehicles of all types, players have tons to choose from to race and wreck!

Burnout Paradise Remastered is also fully optimized for Nintendo Switch, too, with 60fps gameplay. The game also delivers high-resolution textures and various other enhancements for greater visual fidelity and easier usage, including pinch-and-pull map controls.
