There are those who play Call of Duty: Black Ops III for the story, and those who exclusively play the Multiplayer. For a limited time, players who fall in the latter demographic can purchase a Multiplayer Starter Pack for the popular shooter on Steam. Retailing at $14.99 USD, the pack will only be available for a limited time – until February 29th, 2016. Players can also upgrade to the full game after purchasing the pack, for a discounted price.
What will you get access to in this Starter Pack? Well, not every multiplayer component is included. If you purchase the pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops III, you will get access to Public Ranked matches and features like the Gunsmith, Black Market, Theater, Freerun, Arena, and Weapon Paint Shop. So players will get a taste of a lot of the customization available and be able to play the standard type of matches played in multiplayer shooters. Things not included in this pack are the Zombies game mode, Multiplayer custom games, the ability to Prestige, access to mods, unranked servers, and the ability to restart your profile. You will also have a level cap of 55, unless you upgrade to the full game.
For those who do decide that they want to upgrade to the full retail release, Steam will discount the price paid for the Starter Pack from the full game’s price. Essentially, the Starter Pack acts as a taste of the mutliplayer, but there are a lot of people who do not need more than that to enjoy their time with Call of Duty: Black Ops III. While the Starter Pack is only available for a limited time, you can upgrade from that pack at any time, even after February 29th.
