Call Of Duty Opens Seal Of Distinction Endowment Submissions

Call of Duty: World at War

The Call of Duty Endowment has begun its application process for the sixth annual Seal of Distinction Awards. This is an award recognizing U.S. and U.K. based non-profits that demonstrate the highest levels of effectiveness, efficiency, and integrity in placing ex-service personnel into high-quality jobs.

As a result of the charity, hundreds of ex-service personnel have found high-quality jobs. Because of this, the charity is continuing to double-down on their efforts.

60% Increase

Dan Goldenberg, Executive Director of the Call of Duty Endowment, spoke about the endowment entering its sixth year, saying:

We are honored to continue the ‘Seal of Distinction’ program into its sixth year. We’ve seen a growing demand from ex-service personnel for help securing high-quality careers—a 60% increase last year alone—and we’re committed to finding and funding the highest performing non-profits that successfully address this challenge in both the U.S. and U.K.”

Applications can be submitted June 1, 2018. Nominees for the Seal of Distinction must meet a number of criteria, including:

Extensive Grants

The Call of Duty Endowment launched the Seal of Distinction in August 2013. In its sixth year of operation, the program has awarded $27.6 million in grants. Every $504 dollars donated is enough to help place a veteran. The charity has an ambitious goal of placing 50,000 ex-service personnel into high-quality jobs by 2019. However, the program has placed more than 46,000 ex-service personnel into full-time jobs. Most of all, these come with an average salary of $58,000. Furthermore, any veteran looking for help finding a job can apply for aid at their site.

Previous Winners and Fundraisers

Last years winners included the Goodwill of Southern California and the Goodwill of Olympics and Rainer Region. Also, Next Op Veterans received an endowment. And in the U.K. RFEA and Walking with the wounded received endowments as well. In the past, the sale of limited edition dog tags has helped to fund this project. Keep an eye out as they may announce new tags with Call of Duty’s Black Watch 4 trailer at E3. E3 runs June 12th through 14th.
