Capcom Reveals Panta Rhei Engine, New IP Deep Down

<p><iframe width&equals;"560" height&equals;"315" src&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;youtube&period;com&sol;embed&sol;drGkHlrPuOM" frameborder&equals;"0" allowfullscreen><&sol;iframe><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Capcom&&num;8217&semi;s Yoshinori Ono had a double dose of things to show at tonight&&num;8217&semi;s PlayStation Meeting&comma; which kicked off with the reveal of their new game engine&comma; code named Panta Rhei and their new IP <em>Deep Down<&sol;em>&comma; which just so happened to be running on the aforementioned engine&semi; fancy that&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>Deep Down<&sol;em> &lpar;the name is currently a working title&rpar; bares many a resemblance to <em>Dark Souls<&sol;em> and the developer&&num;8217&semi;s&sol;publisher&&num;8217&semi;s own <em>Dragon&&num;8217&semi;s Dogma<&sol;em>&period; Whether or not <em>Deep Down<&sol;em> has any connection to the latter is unknown&comma; as we only have the initial trailer for the game to go on&comma; no further information was given&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Towards the end of the <em>Deep Down<&sol;em> trailer&comma; however&comma; we do see what appears to be a tease at social networking&comma; as Blanka &lpar;yes&comma; that Blanka&rpar; messages Ono in an attempt to get some help&period; Be it items&comma; food&comma; weapons or maybe even getting some in-game help via co-op&period; We&&num;8217&semi;re sure to learn more about the game and the year goes on&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
