Capcom Reveals RE6’s On-Disc DLC Won’t Cost Players a Cent

Capcom has officially announced that it will be launching FREE DLC for Resident Evil 6. It of course, happens to be the on-disc DLC components found earlier this week by a clever gamer.

“Two free DLC items will arrive as a title update soon; No Hope difficulty mode (which is, y’know, super hard) and a co-op partner for Ada’s campaign,” stated on Capcom Unity.

When addressing the on-disc element, Capcom remarked, “some data of this update is on the disc, but said data is incomplete and requires the actual download to access. But again, free.”

Earlier this week on-disc DLC was found in Resident Evil 6. This led to some fans being rather irritated, given the controversy on-disc DLC caused with Street Fighter x Tekken. That most certainly did not sit well with fans and left Capcom agreeing that they would rethink future plans of on-disc DLC.

What are your thoughts on this? A genuinely nice move Capcom planned from the start or were they just caught with their hands in the cookie jar again?
