The Nintendo Switch is receiving lots of indie titles and a new action platformer is on its way next month. Castle of Heart developed by 7levels from Poland is a highly detailed game that offers a challenge. Players are tasked with playing as a knight who unfortunately was cursed and turned into stone. The knight is determined to show the world that both love and courage can overcome the evilest of magic. You must travel from the knight’s village that has turned to stone to the evil ruler’s castle and play through twenty levels.
Not everything is as dark as it seems. As players progress through the levels, they will come across better weapons and magic to aid this noble quest. One mustn’t forget that this brave knight is still one of stone. The stone body will tire after a time and the energy may only be replaced by becoming victorious over enemies. If the knight’s energy hits the critical point, he may lose the ability to use a second weapon in addition to his arm.
According to the developer’s statement on their website, they were inspired by Slavic mythology and even some of the locations within the game are based on Poland’s mythical locations! With the gritty detailed graphics and unique story, it seems 7levels is definitely adding a great addition to the Switch indie library. Castle of Heart will be released through the Nintendo eShop on March 23, 2018, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
