Fans may be able to dust off the Vampire Killer and whip some undead behind in a new Castlevania title set to grace 3DS screens soon, if reports coming in are correct. The game, currently known as Castlevania: Mirror of Faith was spotted by a pair of eagle eyes on N1ntendo and is set to be unveiled at this year’s E3 but little else is known. Of the scant details available, it has been stated that producer of Lords of Shadows, David Cox will be part of Mirror of Faith’s development. Koji Igarashi had produced previous titles for handheld consoles such as Aria of Sorrow and Portrait of Ruin. No word yet on whether he will be involved too.

It’s unsure yet whether this title will follow in the footsteps of LOS and be a reboot or LOS related although those seem to be more likely ideas.

What are your thoughts on the possible change of pace for handheld versions of Castlevania titles?
