Chariot launches on next-gen consoles starting today

Later today, Frima Studio will be releasing their couch co-op game Chariot on the PlayStation 4. Tomorrow, Xbox One customers will be able to download their version for FREE, as Chariot is part of the Games with Gold program for October.

As previously mentioned, Chariot is a local co-op platforming experience. Players will work in tandem to pull, lug, push and by whatever other physics-based means necessary to find the final resting place worthy enough for the King. Playing as either the princess or her fiance, gamers will traverse the royal catacombs while dealing with obstacles and annoying enemies along the way. Even though the King has passed on, His Majesty’s ghost is quite particular as to where he will finally rest so be prepared for him to bark orders out along the way.

“What started as a quirky idea has developed into a fully fledged game, and the team here at Frima is overjoyed to see Chariot finally come to life,” said Frima Executive Producer Martin Brouard. “The positive outpouring from attendees during E3 and PAX Prime was phenomenal, and we’re thrilled to have more players join the ride.”

Chariot will be available for $14.99 on PlayStation Network and is free for Xbox One Gold members for the month of October.
