Cities: Skylines Prepares for Winter with Snowfall Expansion for Consoles

Console owners will be able to challenge themselves in Cities: Skylines by trying to run a city in the winter weather, beginning this November. Snowfall is the first expansion that will be part of the Season Pass for the popular city management game for console owners. A trailer was also released, which you can watch below.

Cities: Skylines has been out for a while on PC, but only this year has it come to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This is the first of many expansions coming to the console versions and will introduce several new features. Outside of the titular snowfall that will hit the streets of players’ cities, the game will also feature new public transit options like streetcars to help people move through the snowy neighborhoods. Additional tools like city-wide heating systems and snowplows will help keep citizens safe, warm, and mobile throughout the busy winter.

Snowfall will retail at $12.99 and be available on November 14th for PS4, Xbox One, and Windows 10. The Season Pass will nab you three full expansions (including Snowfall), two content creator packs, and two radio station content packs for the price of $39.99, which sounds like a good deal if you already own the game and think you’ll be spending quite a bit more time with it. Those who don’t own the game will be able to pick up Cities: Skylines – Premium Edition for $69.99 which includes both the original game and the Season Pass, so there’s plenty of options to think about before you make your purchase.

What do you think of the console version of Cities: Skylines? Will you be picking up the Snowfall expansion or the Season Pass? Let us know in the comments below!
