June 19 is when development company 2K has scheduled it’s US release for Sid Meier’s Civilization V Expansion: Gods & Kings. International players will have their copies on the 22nd. This expansion adds espionage, religion, characters, units, and lots of other content; along with patching a hole that’s existed since launch.
The expansion adds Faith for a new resource which is used to upgrade certain city skills and dictate interactions with other civilizations and city-states. Each civilization has different ways to gain Faith which allows greater variety for leader choices; along with the new espionage system which gives players skills similar to Civ IV’s later skills.
New gameplay mechanics, leaders, city-states, and more are also included in the expansion.
