Conqueror 940 AD Leaves Early Access On Steam

The medieval turn-based city builder has finally left Early Access

Conqueror 940 AD

Combat Wombat Studios have finally released Conqueror 940 AD out of Early Access on Steam. This means the game is finally feature-complete, but CWS promises to keep working on improving the game. The game left Early Access on April 1st, and is thankfully not an April Fool’s joke.

Conqueror 940 AD Features

The game features RPG elements with your skills as a king affecting your kingdom. You must hold court with Petitioners and make decisions that will have effect on the outcome of the kingdom.

Conqueror 940 AD mainly centers around establishing trade routes and expanding your kingdom. It is up to you whether you want to establish alliances or make enemies. Or just outright conquer nearby kingdoms.

There’s also a romance element, as you may also court beautiful women from across the land. It is up to you if your marriage is driven by tactics or lust.

Another major focus is of course building. You start with pretty much nothing and have to manage your resources to make your kingdom blossom. Research new technologies and buildings to add more to your kingdom.

Use spies and subterfuge to gather intel on neighboring kingdoms, and manage battle plans against them. If conflict is your goal, the game provides you with the tools to use it. In addition to all this, you also need to manage your manpower and time. What do you wish to prioritize?

Available Now

The game is priced at $14.99 but during a limited time period, you can get it at a 25% discount. If city builders and strategy games is your cup of tea, this might not be one you want to miss out on. And please check out our full review of the game that’s in the works. It will be put up as soon as possible.
