Counter-Strike Legend Olof’ olofmeister’ Kajbjer Gustafsson Announced He Is Taking A Break From Gaming

Olof’ olofmeister’ Kajbjer Gustafsson announced that he is taking a break from the world of gaming, particularly from Counter-Strike Global Offensive, which he plays professionally since 2012.

The reason for his decision is that he fails to find the motivation that is needed to do himself, his teammates, and the FaZe brand justice. Additionally, he thanked FaZe and all of his fans for the support. He finished the announcement with: “We’ll meet again.”

Olofmeister will definitely be missed in his FaZe clan, which was most recently playing in the Semi-Finals of the Gamers Without Borders CS: GO tournament. They lost against Natus Vincere.

The Grand Finals were being played at the time of writing this article between Natus Vincere and mousesports.
I and many like me took the chance to bet on csgobettingz.com on the match in hopes of winning some serious money. Natus Vincere were heavy favorites of winning this match, so I tried to bet against the odds and chose mousesports as the winner. The current score is 2-2, and I hope that by the end of this article, I will have some additional money in my pocket.

Going back to olofmeister, this isn’t the first time he has taken a break. A similar thing happened in 2018, where he took a three months break to resolve some personal issues, and when he came back, he was at the top of his game, playing his best CS: GO in a long time. We hope that the same thing will happen again.

Still one of the biggest eSports titles to date: CS:GO…

Other CS: GO Stars Paid Tribute To Olofmeister

Olof took the FaZe twitter account to post his announcement, and most CS: GO stars paid tribute to him using the same platform.

His teammates were the first ones to say they support his decision and hopes he will come back to the scene.
FaZe Rain said that it was a dream come true when Olof joined FaZe in 2017 and that he will never forget the memories created together. In the end, he said that no matter what his decision is, he wishes him good luck in the future.

FaZe Niko, the current in-game leader of the Faze clan, said that he is happy to call him a friend. He added that he will always remember the good and the bad memories that they shared together, and the whole journey. He finished his tweet by saying that he hopes he will find his motivation back as it’s way too early for him to retire.
Jason O’Toole, the esports analyst, and CS: GO commentator called his move a classy one. He added that if this is the end, that Olof’ olofmeister’ Kajbjer Gustafsson will go down as one of the greatest there ever was in the scene.

Olof Isn’t The Only One

Recently, Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander, who is the captain of the team Astralis, announced his break from Counter-Strike Global Offensive as well. His reasons are similar to what Olof is going through at the moment.
Astralis won the grand final of ESL against G2 Esports, and that is when gla1ve announced that he is stepping down due to battling mental health issues from stress.

More and more top players are experiencing mental health issues and fatigue, and we can’t help but wonder what is going on?

The well being of all Counter-Strike Global offensive and other esports games should always be the highest priority. Nobody wants to see any of these issues escalating any further. We wish Olof the best in his future, whatever his decision may be. He truly is one of the greatest there ever was.
