Despite the recently ongoing threat of the Coronavirus, CD Projekt RED will not delay their projects. According to a recent post on Twitter, the company will shift their work focus for the upcoming weeks. As such, the development of Cyberpunk 2077 will continue remotely while the Coronavirus outbreak is still a threat.

According to CD Projekt RED, the decision was made to ensure “the highest level of personal safety” for its team. Furthermore, the remote work policy will remain in place for as long as needed. CD Projekt RED doesn’t expect the release date of the game in September 2020 to be changed. Here’s the statement:

The response of the fanbase has been positive in regards to CD Projekt RED’s decision. Many of the replies commend CD Projekt RED for prioritizing the safety of their workers. After all, they are still human beings and deserve to be treated with respect.

Of course, some people are also expecting to see a delay to the game’s release date. However, even while this might be a possibility, they still wish for the best to the developer and publisher.
