Daredevil’s Coming Back For More on Netflix Next Year

If you’ve been listening to anything Netflix-centric lately, you’ve probably heard the name “Daredevil” come up. A lot. We’ve though quite highly of what we’ve seen of the series so far and apparently Marvel and Netflix have to. The series will officially be back for a second season next year, the two have announced, minus one of its lead architects, however.

Showrunner Steven S. DeKnight will be stepping back from the acclaimed superhero/action-drama with American Horror Story‘s Doug Petrie and Sons of Anarchy‘s Marco Ramirez will filling both his shoes. Producer Jeph Loeb, meanwhile, will also return as an executive producer.

“While previous commitments unfortunately prevent me from continuing on with Daredevil into its second season,” DeKnight said in a statement, “I could not be happier that Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez are carrying the torch. They were invaluable collaborators during our first season, and I for one can’t wait to see what they do with the show moving forward.”

Daredevil won’t be Netflix’s lone superhero for long, on further note. Along with this announcement, Marvel confirmed that we’ll see AKA Jessica Jones before 2015’s end, and that Luke Cage will be storming onto the scene in 2016. The studio’s plans for an Iron Fist and a Defenders series is still on hold while they bulk up its roster, meanwhile.

Tell us, how have you liked Daredevil so far? Do you want to see more of Hell’s Kitchen next year?
