<p><em>Dark Souls II</em> is now available in both Europe and Australasia for the PS3 and 360.</p>
<p>Released yesterday, the brutal sequel to the popular first title in the franchise, <em>Dark Souls,</em> takes place in the same world as the previous, although the storyline is said to be unrelated.</p>
<p>Speaking about the game, Namco Bandai Marketing Director, Mathieu Piau says: &#8220;FromSoftware really went the extra mile with <em>Dark Souls II</em> in order to make it the legitimate heir to <em>Dark Souls</em>, which was quite a challenge.”</p>
<p>He also added, “No other game can quite compete with the <em>Dark Souls</em> franchise when it comes to delivering a profound yet exhilarating gaming experience! As one of the most awaited games this year, <em>Dark Souls II </em>promises an immensely rewarding adventure for those prepared to Go Beyond Death.”</p>
<p>The PC version of the game is scheduled for release later next month on the 25th.</p>
