Dawngate Is Being Shut Down

<p>EA&&num;8217&semi;s DOTA 2 and League of Legends competitor Dawngate is to be shut down&period; The Waystone Games-developed title first entered open beta in April 2014 but now its days are numbered&period; Waystone&&num;8217&semi;s manager Matthew Bromberg released a statement saying&colon;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<blockquote><p>&&num;8221&semi;Today&comma; I have the unenviable task of announcing that we’ve decided to stop development of Dawngate&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>I know this is disappointing news for our community&comma; which has been so supportive and loyal&period; To all of you who have graciously given us your time and valuable feedback during our beta period&comma; we’d first like to thank you&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p><&sol;blockquote>&NewLine;<p>Bromberg explained the decision by saying that both developer and publisher had not seen the growth of the game they has expected&period; As such&comma; Dawngate will run for 90 days more before it is shut down for good&period; Any and all money that players spent during the beta will be fully refunded&period; Bromberg finished his statment by saying&colon;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<blockquote><p>&&num;8221&semi;On behalf of the entire team at Waystone Games and EA&comma; I want once again to thank all our players for being part of this journey&period; Your straight-up feedback and the friendly reception we received all over the world at events was extremely encouraging and important to us&period; We appreciate it&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p><&sol;blockquote>&NewLine;<p>Via <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;dawngate&period;com&sol;news&sol;detail&sol;an-important-announcement-about-the&lowbar;32964">Dawngate<&sol;a><&sol;p>&NewLine;
