Dead Space 3: Awakened DLC launches today

<p><em>Dead Space 3<&sol;em> receives new content today in the form of the <em>Awakened<&sol;em> DLC&comma; a digital expansion pack available for the PS3&comma; Xbox 360&comma; and PC versions of the game&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Despite <em>Dead Space 3<&sol;em> only being released last month&comma; the new story-focused expansion pack has already arrived to further chronicle the adventures of the game&&num;8217&semi;s protagonists&comma; Isaac Clarke and John Carver&period; <em>Awakened<&sol;em> is playable in both single-player and co-op&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>In a press release&comma; Steve Papoutsis&comma; Vice President and General Manager of Visceral Games and Executive Producer on <em>Dead Space 3<&sol;em>&comma; said&comma; &&num;8220&semi;Dead Space 3 Awakened is some of the most creative and unsettling content the team has ever created &&num;8212&semi; it’s really going to test gamers’ psyche&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Many players and fans of the <em>Dead Space <&sol;em>franchise recently made it clear that one thing being tested by the latest game in the series is their patience&comma; with Electronic Arts receiving a huge amount of negative feedback from the gaming community due to <em>Dead Space 3<&sol;em>&&num;8216&semi;s focus on co-operative play and action over horror&comma; as well as the inclusion of microtransactions in the full-priced game&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>Awakened<&sol;em> is now available on Origin&period;com  for £7&period;99 &sol; &dollar;9&period;99&comma; Xbox Live Marketplace  for 800 Microsoft Points&comma; and the North American PlayStation Store  for &dollar;9&period;99&period; The European PlayStation Store is set to receive the DLC tomorrow&comma; 13th March&comma; at a price of £7&period;99&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
