The truth behind the legendary cancelled film that was Tim Burton’s Superman Lives will finally be revealed in a new documentary. Director Jon Schnepp is digging up the dirt on the failed project which featured a script by Kevin Smith and the title role being filled by Nicholas Cage. You may have seen the infamous video leaked of the translucent light show that was to be the Superman suit, but the film goes so much deeper than that. The new trailer includes more interviews and some surprisingly vivid concept art. You’ll also hear some more of the frustrations and confusion from all those involved that it’s easy enough to see why this was never meant to be.
The film is currently being crowd funded without specific release date given at this time.
