Deep silver has announced that the upcoming Dead Island: Riptide will receive a limited edition in the UK in the form of the Zombie Bait Edition.
A sequel to the open-world, first-person action game Dead Island, Riptide is a multiplatform release, although the Zombie Bait Edition is exclusive to Xbox 360 and is available to pre-order now. According to the press release, this limited edition includes “the special Steelbook edition of Dead Island: Riptide, collectable artwork cards, and an exclusive pack of weapon mods.”
The centrepiece of the extra content, however, is “a resin statue, which is Dead Island’s grotesque take on an iconic Roman marble torso sculpture. Measuring 31cm high and 18.5cm wide, each of the Zombie Bait sculptures are hand-painted and depict the grisly remains of one of Palanai island’s zombie infected.”

Speaking of the inclusion of the statue, Paul Nicholls, Sales & Marketing Director at Deep Silver, stated, “We wanted to provide a unique collector’s edition that was utterly ‘Dead Island’ and would make a striking conversation piece on any discerning zombie gamer’s mantel.”
Dead Island: Riptide is set for release on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC on 23rd April in the USA and Canada, and on 26th April in the rest of the world.
