The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has already been delayed once, but this wont happen again according to developer CD Projekt Red. The game will meet its February 2015 launch date. The game was set to be available for fall of 2014.

Speaking to Eurogamer, CD Projekt Red cofounder Marcin Iwinski said the following regarding the delay:

“This is not our first game; we are not newbies, it’s not like ‘hey we are delaying and we’ll keep on delaying’. If we would think we need more time we would say ‘hey we’ll release it not in February but, I don’t know, June’. We made the decision at the moment we were able to judge how much time we needed, and we planned it well and it works well for us. So, no more delays.”

Iwinski would go on to stress that more development time has allowed for the developers to work on the little things and find and fix any problems which, in such a huge game can make all the difference to the overall experience. Iwinski admitted that The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings would have benefited from more time for little adjustments. Iwinski also made it a point to note that the game was not delayed because of competition from Bioware’s Dragon Age: Inquisition, which is suppose to launch fall 2014. It’s interesting to note that CD Projekt Red has stated that the game runs better on the PS4 then the Xbox One.
