Deponia Doomsday Coming March 1st

Deponia Doomsday: Announcement Teaser

The fourth installment in the cult-hit Deponia series has an official announcement teaser, setting up the next adventure (or misadventure) for Rufus and his friends.

In Deponia Doomsday, Rufus has had a frightening nightmare: The flying city of Elysium has fallen, and the heinous Fewlocks now inhabit the junk planet of Deponia, with Rufus apparently being the last human survivor. Faced with this, Sole Survivor Rufus decides to sacrifice himself (and his mustache) by completely destroying the derelict Deponia via explosion.

Awakening from this nightmare, Rufus must now figure out if this was indeed just a nightmare, or a vision of things to come?

Fortunately for Rufus, the eccentric Professor McChronicle has detected time anomalies, and some time travelers from the future have very conveniently left their time machine parked in the neighborhood. This can only mean it’s time for Rufus to wreak a little havoc in the past, present, and future for the sake of Deponia…and keeping his face mustache-free.

Also in Deponia Doomsday, players will reunite with the familiar characters of Wenzel, Goal, Lonzo, Lotti, and meet over 70 new oddball characters throughout the adventure.

Deponia Doomsday is the largest installment in the series to date with over 20 hours of gameplay, and beautifully detailed levels that will take the player through the flora and fauna of Deponia as well as the flying city of Elysium.

Players won’t have long to wait, as the game is set to arrive on March 1st for PC, Mac, and Linux as a digital download for $29.99, with retail and console versions for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One to follow over the course of the year.
