Details of the Destiny Beta Revealed

<p>Coming off the heals of a surprise Alpha on the PlayStation 4&comma; Bungie is now set to give players a bit more of a taste of what Destiny has to offer&period; On July 17&comma; players will get their hands on an extended beta&comma; as was announced by Bungie earlier today&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>As confirmed back at E3&comma; the Destiny Beta starts first on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3&period; Starting at 10&colon;00Am PDT on Thursday&comma; July 17&comma; the Beta launches and runs through Monday&comma; July 21&period; During this time&comma; players will be able to engage in battles in places like the Crucible&comma; play co-op Strike Missions&comma; and quite possibly the team will offer up a few surprises as well&period; On Wednesday&comma; July 23&comma; the Beta resumes and for the first time gamers who own either a Xbox One and Xbox 360 will get access to the Destiny Beta&period; And of course&comma; there is a catch&comma; right&quest; Remember way back when you were being bombarded with offers to pre-order Destiny&quest; Well&comma; the only way to gain access to the Beta is by being pre-ordering&period; We believe there is still time to gain access to the Beta so it would be in your interest to pre-order sooner than later&period; The Beta runs through 11&colon;59PM PDT on Sunday&comma; July 27&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>For the collectors out there&comma; Bungie also announced the various collector&&num;8217&semi;s editions today&period; The three flavors are Destiny Ghost Edition&comma; Destiny Limited Edition&comma; and the Destiny Guardian Edition&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<blockquote><p><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;cdn&period;bagogames&period;com&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2014&sol;07&sol;05091816&sol;destiny&lowbar;gamersinbeta&period;jpg"><img class&equals;"alignleft wp-image-63285 size-medium" src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;cdn&period;bagogames&period;com&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2014&sol;07&sol;05091816&sol;destiny&lowbar;gamersinbeta&period;jpg" alt&equals;"destiny&lowbar;gamersinbeta" width&equals;"300" height&equals;"287" &sol;><&sol;a>Both the Destiny Ghost Edition and Destiny Limited Edition will come with a limited edition SteelBook case&comma; a unique in-game Ghost casing&comma; an exclusive player emblem and ship variant&comma; a Guardian folio of printed guides&comma; maps&comma; and art&comma; and the Destiny Expansion Pass that includes two upcoming DLC packs&period; The expansions — The Dark Below and House of Wolves — will feature new story missions&comma; co-op activities&comma; multiplayer maps&comma; guns&comma; armor&comma; and gear&period; Each expansion will also offer additional exclusive content for PS4 and PS3 owners&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The Destiny Ghost Edition&comma; however&comma; will add a Ghost replica with motion-activated lighting and voice recordings from Peter Dinklage&comma; as well as a letter of introduction&comma; and Golden Age Relics — a photo&comma; patch&comma; sticker&comma; and two chrome slides of the Traveler&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>For those that prefer to go digital&comma; the Destiny Digital Guardian Edition will provide a downloadable version of the game&comma; the Destiny Expansion Pass&comma; and the in-game Ghost casing&comma; player emblem&comma; and ship variant offered in the Destiny Ghost Edition and Destiny Limited Edition&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The Destiny Ghost Edition&comma; Destiny Limited Edition&comma; and Destiny Digital Guardian Edition will all be available at launch and priced at &dollar;149&period;99&comma; &dollar;99&period;99&comma; and &dollar;89&period;99&comma; respectively&period; Additionally&comma; the Destiny Expansion Pass will be sold separately for &dollar;34&period;99 or players will have the option to buy each expansion individually for &dollar;19&period;99&period;<&sol;p><&sol;blockquote>&NewLine;<p>Source&colon; <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;oneofswords&period;com&sol;community&sol;1os&sol;blog" target&equals;"&lowbar;blank">One of Swords<&sol;a><&sol;p>&NewLine;
