Deus Ex GO Announced for this Summer

I was a huge fan of both Hitman GO and Lara Croft GO (which I even wrote about how its environments and puzzles intersect in interesting ways), so seeing Eidos Montreal announce another entry in the GO series is always a treat. It only makes sense that the game where they tweak the formula even more than ever before is with Deus Ex GO.

The cyberpunk series is getting the GO treatment in a way that makes a lot of sense. Of course, the stealth is what translates the most, but the mobile game will also include plenty of augments and upgrades that players can use to tweak the way a scenario turns out. While the trailer above doesn’t showcase much (other than that Adam Jensen will be the main character still), the Deus Ex livestream that occurred today detailed some more features in the upcoming mobile game. For example, there will also be a puzzle creator mode that the creators will utilize to provide challenges for players who have already beaten Deus Ex GO as well as for other players to create and challenge friends to complete. This puzzle creator will not be available at launch, but will be on its way soon after.

Deus Ex GO has only been announced for phones and tablets, but seeing as how Hitman GO has been released on consoles recently, it would not be too surprising to see the game come to consoles sometime after its release. You can expect more information about the Deus Ex franchise at E3 2016.
