Deus Ex: Universe Is Going To Be A Trilogy

Last year Square Enix announced Deus Ex: Universe as an ‘ongoing, expanding and connected game world built across a generation of core games.’ Now sources close to the publisher have reported that this will involve a trilogy of AAA titles for both consoles and PC.

Speaking to PS Trophies, one source said that player’s choices would carry over from one game to the next in a similar fashion to the Mass Effect trilogy. However, developer Edios wants to go much further than Bioware and make the outcomes of your choices much more meaningful.

The source also said that they got a glimpse of some promotional material for a game called Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. This adds to the rumor’s credibility as Square Enix filed a trademark for that name back in March. According to the source, the game will feature both Adam Jensen, the protagonist of Deus Ex: Human Revolution, and Ben Saxon, the main character from the mobile title Deus Ex: The Fall.

As this is still only rumour, you should take all this information about Deus Ex: Universe with a grain of salt until we get an official confirmation from Square Enix.
