Development of the next Unreal Tournament starts Today

<p>Epic Games just announced via their Twitch stream that they will begin working on the next iteration of Unreal Tournament today&period; The game will simply be called Unreal Tournament and it will be &&num;8220&semi;true to its roots as a competitive FPS&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>On the stream&comma; which featured Epic employees David Spalinski &lpar;Lead Level Designer&rpar;&comma; Stacey Conley &lpar;Community Manager&rpar;&comma; and Steve Polge &lpar;Sr&period; Programmer &sol; Project Lead&rpar;&comma; the trio explained this will be the best game Epic has built and they will take the time to get it right&period; The work starts today with a small core team who have previously worked on Unreal Tournament in the past&period; Many members of the team feature community modders of past Unreal games and have since been hired by Epic Games&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The team at Epic reiterated over and over that they will work very closely with their community&comma; like always&comma; to steer the direction of this release&period;  They plan on &&num;8220&semi;soliciting dreams&&num;8221&semi; from their community and urged them to start giving them ideas and feedback today&period; When ready&comma; the first mode they will release to the public will be the popular Team Deathmatch mode&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>People can start submitting ideas to today on the <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;forums&period;unrealengine&period;com&sol;" target&equals;"&lowbar;blank">Unreal forums<&sol;a> and for further info&comma; consult their new <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;wiki&period;unrealengine&period;com&sol;Unreal&lowbar;Tournament" target&equals;"&lowbar;blank">Wiki page<&sol;a>&period; Unreal Tournament will be released for Windows&comma; Linux&comma; and MAC&period; The game will also be &&num;8220&semi;totally free with no micro transactions&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
