According to an online German retailer, Redcoon, a PS3 version of Diablo III is set to be released later this year. No 360 version was mentioned (sorry!). As stated on CVG, Diablo III “will benefit from Battle.net upgrades that will provide some exciting new features for the player”.
Whilst the game hasn’t officially been announced for consoles, Josh Mosqueira, lead designer of the oh-so-slightly popular title mentioned that Blizzard is indeed “serious” about porting the game to consoles. Paul Sams, COO of Blizzard stated “We think that the way we built it for the PC may need some tweaking, but it will ultimately be the type of game that can really make sense and be really fun, well polished and a true Blizzard-level experience on a console.”
The important thing to note, as awesome as this idea may be, is that it’s still not confirmed and online retailers sometimes jump the gun with such announcements, or just get it flat-out wrong. Still, it’s nice to dream, isn’t it?
