Diablo III on PS4 Will Not Support Cross-Platform Play or Mouse & Keyboard

<p>With <a title&equals;"Destiny&comma; Diablo III&comma; Jonathan Blow’s The Witness All Coming to PlayStation 4" href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;bagogames&period;com&sol;destiny-diablo-iii-jonathan-blows-witness-coming-playstation-4&sol;"><em>Diablo III<&sol;em> making its way to the PS3&sol;PS4<&sol;a>&comma; you have to wonder if the existence of the game on consoles will affect anything about the PC version of the game&period; Well&comma; a member of <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;us&period;battle&period;net&sol;d3&sol;en&sol;forum&sol;topic&sol;7979508440&quest;page&equals;3&num;49">Blizzard&&num;8217&semi;s Battle&period;net asked this very question<&sol;a>&comma; going so far as to include controller and mouse&sol;keyboard support and cross-platform play&comma; and even got a response from a representative&colon;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&&num;8220&semi;While we think cross-platform play would be awesome&comma; there are currently no plans to allow connectivity between PlayStation Network and Battle&period;net &lpar;this is pretty standard for most games that have PC and console support&rpar;&period; As a result&comma; the characters on your Battle&period;net account and PlayStation account will also remain separate&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>On the subject of adding controller support to the PC version of the game and mouse&sol;keyboard to the PS3&sol;PS4&comma; the Battle&period;net rep stated that&comma; due to <em>Diablo III<&sol;em> on consoles being &&num;8216&semi;designed with a controller in mind&comma; the PlayStation version of <em>Diablo III<&sol;em> will not support USB mice or keyboards&period;&&num;8217&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>It kinda sucks that the option isn&&num;8217&semi;t there to play with your controls of choice&comma; but not supporting cross-platform play doesn&&num;8217&semi;t feel like a huge lose&period; Could you imagine PC and PS3&sol;4 <em>Diablo III<&sol;em> players getting along together&quest; Madness&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
