DieselStormers, the platform shooter from German indie studio Black Forest Games, has been given a new name, the developer announced today.
The name change comes after a trademark registration dispute over the name DieselStormers, as fashion brand Diesel opposed the trademark attempt for obvious reasons.
The PC exclusive now goes by the name Rogue Stormers, with the developer citing the decision for the new name as the best way to highlight the game’s main gameplay mechanic and stay as true to the old name as possible, maintaining its brand recognition as best they can.
Along with the name change, Black Forest Games have added a bunch of new stuff in the game’s most recent content update, which includes shops, chests, doors, new secondary weapons and more. Check out the full update notes here.
Rogue Stormers is available on Steam Early Access, Greenman Gaming and in the Humble Store, with its final release coming sometime in early 2016.
