Toei Animation has released a trailer for Digimon Adventure tri, a 6-part film series which continues the story of the original Digimon cast of characters.
All is not well in the world of Digimon as Tai tells Agumon in the trailer, “this world has chosen the reality and the future which shouldn’t have been chosen.”
In this trailer, we see the original cast 3 years after the events of Digimon Adventure 02, and a few brief glimpses of Greymon battling and Omnimon fighting a new foe. The new 6-part film series is celebrating 15 years since the original aired. However, Digimon Adventure tri has not been confirmed to be releasing in the West with a dubbed version. It is promising, on the other hand, that the Digimon website has an English subbed version and website for people to look at.
The first film of this new series is called Saikai (Reunion) and is scheduled to release on November 21st.
