CyberPunk 2077 has been making quite the headlines these last couple of weeks, but not in the way they were hoping for. A tidal wave of backlash came at CD Projekt with the release of Cyberpunk 2077’s broken state on the Playstation 4 and Xbox One. Both versions have the same common complaint that they are super buggy, crashes, lag, and certain mechanics not working. A buggy open-world was to be expected, but not on this level.
While the PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X did fair better; that still didn’t soften the backlash toward CD Projekt. Most of the anger and disappointment can be traced back to their false promises and scummy business practice. There is a lot to unpack, so in this discussion/debate, we will try to address all of it.
