E3 2017: Dishonored: Death of the Outsider Announced

<p>In a world as chaotic and full of strife as the world of <em>Dishonored<&sol;em>&comma; kings are doomed to fall at one point or another&period; On September 15<sup>th<&sol;sup>&comma; you will join Billie and Daud in a sequel to <em>Dishonored<&sol;em>’s DLC and <em>Dishonored 2<&sol;em>&comma; on a quest to kill the Outsider once and for all&period; <em>Dishonored&colon; Death of the Outsider<&sol;em> will be a standalone release that puts Daud and his protégé on a collision course with the man who gave Daud his powers in the first place&comma; The Outsider&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><iframe width&equals;"560" height&equals;"315" src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;youtube&period;com&sol;embed&sol;mQuHpdUbq6U" frameborder&equals;"0" allowfullscreen><&sol;iframe><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>It is no secret that The Outsider holds no love for the people that he bestows his gifts upon&period; He finds them interesting toys&comma; pawns and nothing more&period; The announcement trailer shows Billie Lurke saving her mentor Daud from capture&comma; only to find out that her former master has one last job for her to take&colon; ending The Outsider once and for all&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>It isn’t clear where <em>Dishonored&colon; Death of the Outsider<&sol;em> stands in the series’ timeline&comma; though if this truly is the end of The Outsider then it likely follows <em>Dishonored 2<&sol;em>’s conclusion&period; I have to wonder though what this means for the franchise if they end The Outsider in this installment&period; Is this the end of the franchise&quest; Or is <em>Dishonored&colon; Death of the Outsider<&sol;em> merely a start of something new&quest;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Based on the trailer it seems like this new adventure will feature the opportunity to play as either Billie or Daud&comma; and provide different ways to play&period; Since Billie was not marked by the Outsider previously&comma; it does bring up the question as to whether she will be marked&comma; or if she will have abilities that are not tied to the Outsider at all&period; It also is concerning as to what it means for The Outsider and those he has marked&period; I find the Outsider to be a very enigmatic&comma; interesting character&comma; and this opens things up for us to be able to learn even more about his backstory&period; However if the game’s events do consist of him being killed&comma; where will the series go from there&quest;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>With the success of <em>Dishonored 2<&sol;em>&comma; it is clear that Arkane Studios know what they are doing&comma; so fans should be looking forward to <em>Dishonored&colon; Death of the Outsider<&sol;em>’s September 15<sup>th<&sol;sup> release on Xbox One&comma; PS4&comma; and PC&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>Source&colon; Bethesda E3 Conference<&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;
