The Merry Marvelites will be happy to find out that the Marvel Battlegrounds playset for Disney Infinity 3.0 releases on March 15th, says Disney Interactive.
Marvel Battlegrounds is a four player combat arena expansion for Disney Infinity 3.0 for Marvel characters only. This playset includes 12 levels across eight arenas, and according to Disney Store, allows the ability to “smash through floors, walls, and tear down the environment as you battle to defeat your opponents.”
Currently, there are 28 characters to play as for Marvel Battlegrounds. The playset includes the mode, the 12 levels, and a new Captain America figure designed after his appearance in Captain America: The First Avenger. The figure will also have improved abilities, according to Marvel.
Marvel Battlegrounds is currently being developed by United Front Games (Modnation Racers, Sleeping Dogs) in association with Avalanche Software.
