Dive Back Into Dark Souls 3 This October With Ashes of Ariandel DLC

Dark Souls fans can praise the sun today because Bandai Namco have announced that there will be new DLC for Dark Souls III this October with Ashes of Ariandel.

Players will uncover a “terrible secret” about the world in the frozen land of Ariandel, which will explain why the land became the way it is. In addition to a new environment to explore, the DLC will include new weapons, armor, and magic to help us fight the horrifically challenging enemies that await us. If multiplayer is your style, you’ll be happy to know there will be new features for it.

The DLC will be arriving to PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 25th, 2016 at $14.99. Those who want to play the second expansion as well (which is scheduled for a release sometime Early 2017) can but the season pass for $24.99, which will have both DLC instalments.

When the game initially released, Dark Souls 3 became the fastest selling and most successful day one release for Bandai Namco Entertainment America. Dark Souls 3 was developed by Bloodborne and Armored Core developer FROMSOFTWARE and was directed by the initial game’s director Hidetaka Miyazaki. In the core story of Dark Souls III, you must find the five Lords of Cinder and bring them back to the Firelink Shrine.

Ashes of Ariandel is currently available to pre-purchase on Steam.
