Larian Studios have announced that they have added the composer behind Crysis 2 and Crysis 3, Borislav Slavov, to the Divinity Original Sin 2 team.
Slavov has also worked on Knights of Honor, Two Worlds II, Gothic 3, and Ryse: Son of Rome. They hired him as he has a “talent for creating adaptive music that evolves with players’ actions.” Larian Studios believes that “his plans for Divinity: Original Sin 2 are impressive, to say the least.”
Divinity: Original Sin 2 was backed on crowdfunding website KickStarter in September 2015 and raised $2,032,435. The sequel will feature four player online co-op or competitive play and a new dialog system, which gives you more ways to interact with companions and NPC’s. There will also be new elemental interactions with the environment. Veteran Western RPG writer Chris Avellone will also be contributing to the project.
Divinity: Original Sin 2 is planned for release late this year on PC, but Larian Studios says on the KickStarter project page that “this date may be changed as [their] plans evolve.”
