Now this is news many gamers will approve of.

Bethesda will be releasing the Doom 3 BFG Edition for the PS3, 360 and PC. The critically acclaimed title will come with the Resurrection of Evil expansion pack as well as new levels in a neat little package entitled The Lost Mission. To add a bit more sugar to the deal will be the inclusions of Doom 1 and 2.

A few tweaks have been made to enhance the gaming experience including adjustments to the control system for better play, check-point saving system, achievements plus trophies (depending on the console you use) as well as a flashlight attachment (within the game) to allow players to spot sneaky foes hiding in corner and make them regret doing so.

As seen on ShopTo News, John Cormack, id Software’s Technical Director stated “the full experience has been enhanced and extended to be better than ever, and is delivered across all the platforms with a silky smooth frame rate and highly responsive controls… We think shooter fans everywhere will love it.”

Sweet!
