Doom Season Pass and Open Beta Announced

<p><em>Doom <&sol;em>comes out in a little over a month&comma; and just wrapped up its closed beta period&period; The first-person shooter from id Software will launch on May 13th&comma; 2016 but before then&comma; you will have time to decide whether you want to pick up the game for its multiplayer or not&period; An open beta will run from April 15th to April 17th&comma; allowing players to participate in the same game modes which were available in the closed beta &&num;8211&semi; Team Deathmatch and Warpath&period; The maps available will be Heatwave and Infernal&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Warpath is <em>Doom<&sol;em>&&num;8216&semi;s King of the Hill-esque mode&period; Players can choose to try and capture a control point or make an oath with the devil and become a rocket-wielding monster that can destroy marines without breaking a sweat &lpar;do demons sweat&quest;&rpar;&period; The strategy comes in whether capturing the point matters more than killing those going for the capture&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Announced alongside the open beta was that <em>Doom <&sol;em>would unsurprisingly offer a season pass&period; Retailing at &dollar;39&period;99 USD&comma; it will contain three post-launch DLC packs that will be multiplayer-exclusive&period; These packs will include additional maps&comma; armor&comma; weapons&comma; and all the usual multiplayer additions&period; The first pack will be available in the summer and will contain the following&colon;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<ul>&NewLine;<li>Three new maps<&sol;li>&NewLine;<li>One new weapon<&sol;li>&NewLine;<li>One new playable demon<&sol;li>&NewLine;<li>One new armor set<&sol;li>&NewLine;<li>One new piece of equipment<&sol;li>&NewLine;<li>New hack modules and taunts<&sol;li>&NewLine;<li>New customization colors and patterns<&sol;li>&NewLine;<&sol;ul>&NewLine;<p>The three packs will also be available separately for &dollar;14&period;99 USD each&comma; so if you don&&num;8217&semi;t think the multiplayer will hook you for long&comma; you can opt out of as many of the DLC packs as you want&period; There will be free updates post-launch&comma; as well&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>Source&colon; <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;bethesda&period;net&sol;&num;en&sol;events&sol;game&sol;doom-open-beta-and-post-launch-content&sol;2016&sol;04&sol;06&sol;101">Bethesda Blog<&sol;a><&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;
