We Are Doomed headed to PS4 and Vita in 2015

<p>Announced earlier today on the PlayStation blog&comma; We Are Doomed by Vertex Pop will be released on the PlayStation 4 and Vita in 2015&period; Vertex Pop is a small Toronto-based studio headed up by Mobeen Fikree&period; His game&comma; We Are Doomed is a twin stick shooter where players kill invading polygons with an overpowered laser beam&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The title has been shown on the floor of PAX East at the Mini-Indie MEGA Booth as well as the ID&commat;Xbox event on the Microsoft campus prior to PAX Prime&period;  Therefore&comma; it was somewhat surprising news to hear the title was coming to the PlayStation 4 and Vita&period; But in past conversations with Mobeen&comma; he will be releasing We Are Doomed on as many available platforms as possible&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>During the course of gameplay&comma; players will be armed with a moderate sized laser beam which can take out most enemies within close proximity&period; As you kill enemies&comma; there will be purple cubes to collect which raise your super beam meter&period; Once the meter is full&comma; players can then use the much larger beam&comma; which can reach across the screen&comma; to take out all the enemies&period; Players will need to have a keen eye though as enemies can still sneak in and take you out while your wielding the large beam&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>We Are Doomed&&num;8217&semi;s art style features loud colors&comma; different shapes&comma; and just enough glitchy geometry to keep you on your toes&period; Mo doesn&&num;8217&semi;t see his game as a throwback but rather &&num;8220&semi;an alternate reality scenario&&num;8221&semi;&period; Instead of the AAA graphics we&&num;8217&semi;re used to&comma; &&num;8220&semi;What if instead&comma; flat shaded&comma; vector-based graphics ruled the world&quest;&&num;8221&semi; But who is he kidding&comma; the game is really about blowing stuff up&comma; enjoying the atmosphere&comma; and climbing those leaderboards with your high scores&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The PlayStation 4 version will arrive first followed by the PS Vita version later in 2015&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Source&colon; <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;blog&period;us&period;playstation&period;com&sol;2014&sol;11&sol;12&sol;twin-stick-shooter-we-are-doomed-to-hit-ps4-vita&sol;&num;comment-1037862" target&equals;"&lowbar;blank">PlayStation Blog<&sol;a><&sol;p>&NewLine;
