The free-to-play online social game Dragon Age Legends will soon become a thing of the past as EA has just stated they will be canceling the title. The game will no longer be made available over Facebook by mid-June but EA has suggested they will release a free version of the RPG for players who wish to continue on their quests, just without the multiplayer abilities.

No actual reason was mentioned by EA as to why the RPG was canceled although Ethan Levy from BioWare did suggest the release of Dragons Age Legends didn’t quite meet expectations despite drawing a sizable amount of interest prior to its launch. The cancelation of the online play of Legends is just another in a string of cancelations from EA, which includes Need for Speed™ ProStreet and FIFA 10, both of which saw online play shut back in April of this year.
