Dragon Quest X is Officially Coming to NX

The previous rumors of Dragon Quest X being in development for the NX have officially been confirmed to be true this week.

The news came out in the update from Weekly Famitsu where the producer and director of the game officially stated Dragon Quest X will be released on the NX and the PS4. Yossuke Saito (the producer) and Chikara Saito (the director) said PS4 version of Dragon Quest X will be released before Dragon Quest XI.

X takes place in the world of Astoltia and there are six playable races: Human, Weddie, Dwarf, Puklipo, Ogre, and Elf. In this massively open world online game, players begin as a human and after completing a certain number of tasks the players change their race. Dragon Quest X originally launched in Japan in 2012 and is still quite popular among fans. Dragon Quest X in Japan is in the 3.3 version and the 4th version is being worked on now. According to DualShockers, version 4 will introduce a seventh class to the game.

Square Enix is developing and publishing the title but has yet to announce a definite release date for the PS4 and NX editions. Last year, Square Enix hinted at the possibility of the game being in development for NX but with this confirmation, fans of both the Dragon Quest series and Nintendo will be able to enjoy the game.
