Dragon’s Dogma reaches 1.05 Million Units Sold – Capcom’s June Financial Report

Capcom’s June financial report reveals that Dragon’s Dogma has sold over one million units.

The developer says that the success of the game is due to its high reception in Japan, Unfortunately, it did not fare as well in North America and Europe.

Capcom is adamant that more Dragon’s Dogma games will be made due to the sale success they have received. They declared the “stage was set for creating a series of titles.”

Capcom had recruited their biggest development team ever for work on Dragon’s Dogma, and considering the losses should the game have failed, this was risky business. Thankfully, the game is being garnered a success.

The publisher also took time to point out the 450,000 sales of which their other recent game, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, currently holds. This game, however, received less favorable reviews from the general populace, receiving a 4/10 from sites such as EuroGamer.

Capcom continued to praise itself by touting the affection that Resident Evil 6 previews gained at E3. The company also went over how their approach to DLC benefited its major titles.

Overall, net profits for Capcom climbed to £11 million during the April-June quota, with an increase of 300 percent. Their total gain was £151 million.
