Drakengard 3 Promises Plenty Of Fire And Blood With New Trailer

To celebrate the release of Drakengard 3 this week, Square Enix has released a brand new trailer which shows off both gameplay and cut scenes. The video promotes the game’s  fast paced combat, challenging bosses and fiery dragon action. Despite being called Drakengard 3 this game is actually a prequel, taking place around 100 years prior to the events of original Drakengard.

This is the first instalment in the series to be developed by Access Games, the studio responsible for 2010’s Deadly Premonition and the portable versions of the Ace Combat series. The original developers, Cavia, were closed down and absorbed into AQ Interactive following the release of the Drakengard spin off, Nier. However, several former members of Cavia, including Nier director Toko Taro, joined Access Games to work on this latest title.

Drakengard 3 is available for $49.99 only on the PS3.
