Once amazingly popular, now not so popular, Draw Something was always going to be a difficult purchase to justify on Zynga’s part. At one point, the company was making up to $250,000 a day when it was at its peak of popularity and thus Dan Porter’s company “OMGPOP” was purchased for $210 million.

Since then however, it’s made a net loss of $209.4 million in 2012 which is somehow surprisingly better than the $404.3 million loss the company made in 2011.

This all leads up to the present day where Dan Porter has essentially left his own company after being purchased by Zynga. Dan Porter’s role within the company was to serve as vice president of Zynga’s New York office after his company was purchased, although he will now be replaced by Sean Kelly, the executive of both CityVille and FarmVille.
