Driveclub Developer To Lose Half Its Staff

<p>It&&num;8217&semi;s been over six months since <em>Driveclub<&sol;em> raced out of the gate this past October to the sight of bugs and crashes in its online multiplayer and now it&&num;8217&semi;s looking like its developer are having some bugs of their own to hammer out&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Talking to two independent sources &&num;8220&semi;close to the studio&comma;&&num;8221&semi; Eurogamer reports that<em> Driveclub<&sol;em> developer Evolution Studios is going to be axing at least 55 employees – just half of its 110 member studio&period; At least one source mentioned the possibility of some of Evolution&&num;8217&semi;s former workers being able to return as part-time contractors&comma; but there&&num;8217&semi;s been no guarantee&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Last week it was announced that Evolution Studios would be downsizing and focusing on the franchise &&num;8220&semi;as a service&comma;&&num;8221&semi; including the free PlayStation Plus edition of <em>Driveclub <&sol;em>that&&num;8217&semi;s <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;bagogames&period;com&sol;driveclubs-playstation-plus-version-is-still-m-i-a&sol;">still been MIA<&sol;a> since its E3 announcement almost two years ago this year&period; Whether there&&num;8217&semi;ll be a Driveclub 2 from Evolution is another matter&comma; but an increasingly unlikely one from here on out&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Are you still playing <em>Driveclub<&sol;em>&quest; Do you want to see a sequel anytime soon&quest; Tell us in the comments below&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>Via<&sol;strong> <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;eurogamer&period;net&sol;articles&sol;2015-03-23-driveclub-developer-set-to-lose-55-staff-sources-say">Eurogamer<&sol;a><&sol;p>&NewLine;
