Speaking to Fox News, as reported by IGN, Jack Tretton (president of SCEA) let it be known that upcoming free to play title Dust 514 may be set for release in October. When asked about the movement of games in the industry including free to play titles, he brought up Dust 514, stating, it to be a “full-blown first-person shooter available on PlayStation 3 that not only allows you to play against your friends on PS3, but also against people on the PC.” He continued by saying the title would be “coming out next month.”
CCP, the developers of the game have yet to actually confirm a release date so it’s unsure if this was an intentional or unintentional reveal.
Dust 514 will be a PS3 exclusive.
