Hello BagoNation!

The first full expansion pack for Dying Light, entitled The Following, has seen a new story trailer released to the masses today. Dying Light, the first-person horror game by Techland, was originally released in January of 2015 and starred Kyle Crane, an undercover agent sent to a quarantine zone in the city of Harran. The expansion is set to explore Crane’s interactions with a cult in search of a “chosen one” to make the “ultimate sacrifice.”

Producer Tymon Smektala says “We all love some old good mystery, whether it’s X-Files or Twin Peaks, so that’s an element we’re introducing to our world…” Smektala goes on to talk about how The Following features a new open area “that covers more space than the map of the base Dying Light game” and will also contain “a customizable dirt buggy” to traverse the world in.

The game will feature a large open world and a customizable buggy. (Dying Light: The Following, Techland)

Dying Light was praised by critics for it’s parkour-focused gameplay and unique day/night system. BagoGames’ own Patrick Kennedy gave Dying Light an 8 out of 10, saying “Dying Light may not grab you with its generic narrative or plot twists, but delivers on engaging gameplay that works beautifully with the zombie genre.” You can read the full review here.

Dying Light: The Following is set to release for PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One on February 9th. The downloadable content will be available for $19.99 or through the Dying Light season pass. For more coverage on all things video games, stick with BagoGames!
