E3 2015: Star Ocean is Cross-gen and Due in 2016

<p><strong>Correction&colon;<&sol;strong> <em>Star Ocean&colon; Integrity and Faithfulness <&sol;em>was only announced for Playstation 4 in North America at this time – not PS3 as was originally written here&period; We regret the error&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>Original Story&colon;<&sol;strong> We already know that the fifth Star Ocean entry&&num;8217&semi;s coming out for the Playstation 3 and 4 in Japan&comma; but thanks to Square Enix&&num;8217&semi;s press conference today&comma; we now know that JRPG fans will be getting a PS4 version of it in the West too&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Developer Tri-Ace offered a brief look at an early version of <em>Star Ocean&colon; Integrity and Faithfulness<&sol;em>&&num;8216&semi;s gameplay&comma; revealing that the party size has grown to include six players&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The game&&num;8217&semi;s producer&comma; Shuichi Kobayashi&comma; spoke about his team&&num;8217&semi;s desire to challenge the core perceptions of what makes the series and the role-playing genre in general by making <em>Integrity and Faithfulness<&sol;em> as interactive as possible&period; The rest of the presentation included this new game&&num;8217&semi;s changes to other aspects such as the party size&comma; seamless cutscenes&comma; and more&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The last game in the series&comma; 2009&&num;8217&semi;s <em>Star Ocean&colon; The Last Hope<&sol;em>&comma; originally released for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360&period; <em>Integrity and Faithfulness<&sol;em>&comma; meanwhile&comma; will release only on PS4 in North America sometime in 2016&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>Via <&sol;strong>Square Enix Live E3 Conference<&sol;p>&NewLine;
