E3 2015: Yu Suzuki Needs Your Help To Make Shenmue III Happen

This E3’s been all about old classics, it seems, and Shenmue creator Yu Suzuki doesn’t wanna be left out. At Sony’s E3 2015 conference, Suzuki announced that he’s formally launching a Kickstarter for the series’ long-demanded sequel.

Shenmue 3, as it’ll be officially named if made, needs $2 million in pledges by July 17th and has 31 days left for you to pledge. Last we checked, the project had already amassed over half-a-million dollars at the time of this writing in less than an hour of its reveal.

Shenmue isn’t the first formally dead game series to head to Kickstarter for a crowd-funded revival. Konami’s Castlevania series now has a successor in Bloodstained and Mega Man has Mighty Number 9. We’ll see just how long Shenmue III possibly needs to get funded.
